    So, I got a coffee from Tim Hortons, Ropewalk Lane on December 16, 2011 at about 6 pm in the evening; Imagine my horror when, upon opening the lid and taking a sip, I found a human fingernail. Immediately I became nauseated and out came the nail along with my supper.  I waited until Monday morning, December 19, 2011 and called and asked for a manager.  I spoke with a manager who stated, after me explaining the situation, that she would pass it on to the general manager and I would be contacted in the near future.  I was not contacted back by anyone and I gave it time as the holidays slowed things down. I called back on December 27, 2011 and asked to speak to the manager I had spoken to before, but got another one who I had to explain the whole situation to a second time.  Like the conversation with the prior manager I was asked if I kept the fingernail.  Again I told them that I didn't think to dig through vomit to find it.   As if not appalled enough by the ordeal, I was asked to provide the fingernail so they could investigate the matter; twice. This time I was told by the manager I spoke with that someone would be in contact with me before the end of the week.  Well, I was contacted prior to the end of that day.  I was informed that because I could not produce the fingernail for investigation, I would be provided a gift card to replace the coffee that I lost out on.  When I inquired as to what stores in St. John's were owned by these particular owners, I was told that she  "did not know" because she only "dealt with this store".  Well, thank you for the kick in the face.  I may have lost out on $1.71 but you have lost out on a lot more; This is one patron that refuses to be patronized!
